Fontinalis hypnoides orgininates from the northern hemisphere, commonly occouring in still or slow moving water.
Compared to the common Willow Moss (Fontinalis antipyretica), it has a much finer and more delicate leaf structure. The leaves are narrower, smaller.
As with all mosses - clean, cool water is prefered, additional CO2 will promote growth enormously.
