Bucephalandra sp. 'Belindae Mini'

€7.90
Bucephalandra sp. 'Belindae Mini' is a stunning aquatic plant, ideal for nano tanks and delicate aquascapes. It features tiny, crinkled leaves in deep green to bluish hues, adding rich texture and color to any layout. This slow-growing plant thrives when attached to rocks or driftwood, making it a perfect epiphyte for hardscape elements.
As a young plant, 'Belindae Mini' has very short leaves, but over time it develops nearly linear, wavy foliage with extremely short stalks. Its compact size and low, creeping growth habit make it especially well-suited for small-scale aquascaping. While it can grow in low to medium light, the addition of CO₂ and regular liquid fertilization will significantly enhance its growth and bring out more vibrant coloration.

Price per: 1 plant with 10+ leaves on the rhizome.

Microsorum sp. 'India'

€8.90
Microsorum sp. 'India' is a compact and uniquely textured aquatic fern from India. As one of the smaller species in this group, it is ideal for nano aquariums. Like other Microsorum species, it is an epiphyte, meaning it naturally grows attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape elements rather than being planted in the substrate. One of its most distinctive features is its bullate leaves, which have a beautifully textured, rippled surface. These deep green, lanceolate leaves give the plant a unique appearance, adding depth and contrast to an aquascape. This fern is slow-growing and thrives in a wide range of conditions, making it an excellent choice for both low-tech and high-tech aquariums. It prefers moderate to low lighting and benefits from a stable nutrient supply. While CO₂ injection is not essential, it can enhance growth and coloration. To prevent rot, the rhizome should never be buried in the substrate but instead secured to hardscape elements. With its compact size, unique leaf texture, and adaptability, Microsorum sp. 'India' is a fantastic choice for aquascapers looking to add visual interest and structure to their tank, especially in smaller setups.

Price per: plant with 5-6 leaves on the rhizome.

Schismatoglottis roseospahta

€12.90
Schismatoglottis roseospatha is a fascinating aroid native to the southern part of Sarawak on Borneo. It naturally grows as a rheophyte, anchoring itself to rocks along fast-flowing rainforest streams, much like its close relatives from the Bucephalandra genus. Although in nature it is only temporarily submerged during high water levels, it adapts well to being permanently underwater in an aquarium setting. Its narrow, ovate to lanceolate leaves are dark green, slightly glossy, with gently wavy edges and an elongated tip. The creeping rhizome develops long roots, while young leaf stalks and rhizome tips exhibit a reddish-brown hue. Underwater, the stomata on the leaf surface create shimmering silver reflections. Leaf size varies depending on environmental conditions and the plant’s age. Despite being known in the aquarium hobby for years, it remains a rare find in trade. This plant is not particularly demanding but benefits from a good supply of CO₂ and nutrients. It naturally attaches itself to rocks but can also be secured to the substrate (ensuring the rhizome remains above the surface) or simply wedged into crevices in the hardscape. Although it grows slowly, its growth rate may increase over time, allowing the plant to expand in size. With its slender, glossy, dark green leaves, Schismatoglottis roseospatha is an excellent choice for aquascaping, particularly in stream biotope aquariums.

Price per: 1 plant with 5-6 leaves.

Microsorum sp. 'Spoon'

€9.90
A fantastic variety of the popular Java fern. One of the smallest Microsorum, very easy to grow. 'Spoon' is named after its spoon-shaped leaves, this is especially pronounced when grown in aquariums without CO2 injection. Then the leaves are slightly shorter and the shape of the spoon is particularly pronounced. The plant should be tied to the hardscape, the rhizome must not be buried, otherwise the plant will rot. Ideal for smaller Nano aquariums and great for achieving a sense of depth in larger aquariums.

Price per: plant with 5-6 leaves on the rhizome.

Anubias barteri var. nana 'Mini Coin'

€9.90
'Mini Coini' is a really tiny selection of Anubias barteri var. nana. It is still very rare in trade. This plant has round leaf blades similar to 'Round Leaf' aka 'Coin Leaf'. However, they do not exceed a length of 1 cm and are mostly even smaller when they grow under water. This Anubias has a very compact growth habit by intense branching of the rhizome. The leaves are dark to medium green.
As well as other forms of the Dwarf Anubias, 'Mini Coin' has little demands. However, this very slowly growing epiphyte thrives best with complete macro- and micronutrient supply via the water column. CO2 addition is not essential but very beneficial for its growth. The plant needs little light, but with good nutrient supply, it also grows with strong lighting. Especially young plants from in Vitro cups establish best in already cycled, well running aquariums. This dwarfish Anubias can be fastened to hardscape materials such as rock and driftwood as well as fixed to the ground. For the latter, the rhizome must not be buried to prevent it from rotting. The plant is easily propagated by cuttings of single shoots or splitting of the whole clump.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Mini Coin' stands out among the very small Anubias forms by its round leaf shape and compact, bushy growth. With its tiny size, it is especially suited for nano tanks but also provides interesting possibilities for the hardscape design of larger aquariums. For example, the depth effect can be enhanced by arranging it behind Anubias with similarly shaped, but larger leaves.

Price per: 1 plant with 7+ leaves on the rhizome.

Lomariopsis cf. lineata "Subwassertang"

€6.90
The "Suesswassertang" ("Freshwater seaweed") is an exceptional aquarium plant that became known in Germany first, but likely originates from tropical Asia. It is neither a moss nor an algae but the prothallium (gametophyte) stage of a fern of the genus Lomariopsis. It can be used like Monosolenium tenerum, but it has several advantages over the latter: the thalli are far less brittle and will attach themselves to decorative material with their rhizoids. The freshly green cushions of Lomariopsis cf. lineata with their transparent, roundish branches are an eyecatcher in every aquarium. The Lomariopsis prothallium does not grow too slowly and has no special requirements. However it looks best when grown with at least medium strong lighting and good CO2 and nutrient supply. With very low light it will form rather narrow, strap-shaped branchings. Lomariopsis cf. lineata is variously applicable: tied on rock or wood, or stuffed into the gaps of the hardscape. Grown on moss pads, it makes even an unusual ground cover. Too big cushions are easily reduced by picking or cutting. Loose masses of the "Suesswassertang" are also useful in breeding tanks.

Each portion is: 5x5 cm.

Bucephalandra sp. 'Dark Afika'

€18.90
Based on their appearance, Bucephalandras are similar to Anubias and Cryptocoryne species. When they were first introduced to the aquarium hobby, they were compared to Cryptocoryne species because of their narrow and usually olive-colored leaves. However, their creeping rhizomes and prehensile roots fit the characteristics of Anubias more closely. Bucephalandra is a wonderful and still relatively hard-to-find genus of plants that captivate many aquarists across the world thanks to their majestic appearance. Bucephalandras are an epiphyte endemic plants from Borneo island. Slow groing rare aquatic plants with a unique appearance. There are more than 200 species available today with different leaf shape and size. In general bucephalandras are hardy slow growing plants sutable for a range of different styles of aquarium. Relatively new to the hobby but gaining popularity rapidly. Because of their low demand are a good addition to any shrimp aquarium. Bucephalandra can be tied to rocks or wood, or have the roots buried in substrate (do not bury the rhizome). They are very hardy plants once they adjust to your tank and can tolerate a wide range of aquarium conditions including temperature, PH, and water hardness.

Price per: 1 plant with 5+ leaves on the rhizome.

Fissidens sp. 'Khao Sok'

€29.90
This interesting new variety of Fissidens moss forms velvety, deeply green carpets of small, compact shoots. The feather-like, soft shoots are about 2-3 mm wide, branched at the base and have a decumbent to ascending growth habit. In the aquarium, Fissidens sp. 'Khao Sok' grows very slowly and benefits from a good supply of nutrients and CO2. The small shoots are best tied to driftwood, rock or ceramic moss pads. Alternatively, you can also squeeze them into cracks of wood or stones. Another option is application by "yogurt method".
With its rather spreading, densely ramified growth, Fissidens sp. 'Khao Sok' is best suited to be used for aquascaping. This filigree moss is one of the most beautiful epiphytes currently available and can be used for the greening of hardscape in many ways. Its deeply green, delicately textured cushions are an eye-catcher in bigger aquascapes as well as in nano aquariums!

Price per: moss grown on stainless steel wire mesh 3x3 cm.

Schismatoglottis prietoi

€6.90
Schismatoglottis prietoi is native to the Philippines and was first found on Cebu Island. It was scientifically described and named after the plant collector Esquerion Prieto in 2015. There are already few aquarium-suitable plants from river and stream banks among the many Schismatoglottis species, however S. prietoi is so far the only species that is a true aquatic also in the nature. It develops large stands in sandy to gravelly riverbeds by thin creeping rhizomes and runners, comparable to Cryptocoryne species. Its small, elliptic, glossy leaves resemble those of Anubias 'Petite' but are lighter green, the plant also grows faster than this Anubias.
This small aroid is perfectly suitable as aquarium plant and deserves a wide distribution in the hobby. Schismatoglottis prietoi can be planted into the ground, however there are also reports of its successful use as epiphyte on rock. It has no special demands and also thrives in medium-hard water, however medium lighting and a good nutrient supply via the water column are very beneficial. The growth may be quite slow in the beginning but accelerates after establishing. With time, this Schismatoglottis forms a dense, broad stand. It is easily propagating by splitting and separating of young plantlets.
This new, hitherto little known aquarium plant can be used in many ways, best as group in the foreground to midground of an aquarium. In "geographically correct" Asia-themed tanks it is a right replacement for similar Anubias forms, originating from Africa.

Price per: 1 plant.

Crepidomanes sp. 'Calicut'

€11.60
A very special rarity, belonging to the diverse family of the Filmy Ferns. This tiny, moss-like fern was found in southwestern India on rocks along a stream. In its natural habitat it is flooded during the rainy period only, however it can be grown permanently submerged in aquariums. This fern has tender, dark green, transparent leaves on a thin, creeping rhizome. It is recommendable to fix this fern on stone or wood. This fern grows very slowly, forming a carpet by and by. It is rootless but develops dark, hair-like rhizoids on the rhizome which help it adhere to the substrate. This Crepidomanes doesn't need much light, but a good CO2 and nutrient supply, soft to medium hard water and a good water current are beneficial. Crepidomanes sp. 'Calicut' is a great enrichment for the aquascaping and looks particularly good in small-scale, delicate layouts, for example on vertical structures of the hardscape. Because of its extremely slow growth, one should pay attention to keep it from overrunning by other plants such as faster growing mosses. It is excellent addition to any nano aquarium.

Price per: plant with 6-7 leaves on the rhizome.
